If you model the ignition coil as a resistance "R" in series
with the inducatnce "L", and drive it with a step voltage of "V", the
resulting current will be:
i(t) = {V/R}*{1-exp(-t*R/L)}
The expression you poseted earlier had interchanged "R" and "L".
