The Chrysler Technical Reference Manual for the Eagle Talon
describes in detail how the system works.  In summary, the
sensor creates Karmann vortices (sp?) and an ultrasonic
sensor detects their presence.  The frequency of the sensor
pulses is used as an indication of air flow.
