i am planning to build an adapter cable to go between the mem cal and
the eprom programmer i beleive the eprom used in it is an 27128

and if you have noticed the top plastic cover snaps off the mem cal
exposing the eprom and the memcal hybrid there seems to be a
direct correspondance between the eproms 28 pins and the pin grid on
the bottom of the unit dont try to remove the rom because its soldered
in maybe a closepin type test clip would work also.

does anyone know what cpu chip is used in an 1988 buick regal with an
2.8l pfi engine with maf?
