There is a pump in the tank for FI cars that require 25 lb/sq in and up.
It seems that frame mounted pumps that can provide this are designed for
pressure not suction. The in tank pump provides relief from this problem.
The tank pump in these configurations are not high pressure but can provide
the prime and volume for the pump on the frame. At lower pressure requirements
the in tank pump may not be required.
