Back when I was at Virginia Tech I remember seeing some tech infor on how 
the TEC used the PLL.  I can assure them that There aren't any PLLs 
associated with ignition control in my PCM (1996 V6 engine).  We had a lot 
of problems with Electromotive.  They have a really good product, but are a 
bear to deal with.
