How to get ECU processor info?

Hi All.

A few of us from the Talon Digest are trying to get information on the uP (& 
its instruction set) for the 2nd generation Mitsubishi Eclipse / Eagle Talon 
turbo model ECU. Although it's apparently a proprietary chip(set), various 
other folks have somehow come up with this info. (Unfortunately, those same 
folks are generally unwilling to pass it around.)

If you have managed to come up with such information for *ANY* ECU and have 
some tips/pointers to share, they would be most highly appreciated!
