Yes, the have a complete sample application with the 687, however, you may
be interested to know that they (SSI) have delt the death knell to it. It is
a NOT RECOMMENDED PART and will be discontinued next year (or is it this
year now?) Check with your SSI rep. If you do decide to go ahead with it you
could try the 
Tustin Office at 714-573-6900. I have spoken numerous time with Ken Harada,
and he was very helpfull. He supplied me with a TON of stuff, including the
schematics, and some simple sample software for their demo board.
