For the guy with the BMW 530i.

volume of the intake plenum should be roughly equal to engine displacement.
The same is supposed to apply to the intake runners -- each runner being
equivalent to the volume in a single cylinder.  Anything grossly different
from this
will affect (probably negatively) the torque characteristics (how much & at
what
rpm level).

It's your car, but I wouldn't screw with this.  My car is very similar to
yours and I
can answer questions and such you may have, also related to thermal
reactors,
exhaust systems and such.  Aside for some bullet-proofing, leave the
injection as
it is, it works fine when set up properly (i.e. CO set with a meter to the
proper levels).
