You should also realize that the multiple spark last for about 20 deg of 
engine rotation. Once you get past about 2500 rpm , it is a single spark
system. If your stock ignition is functioning properly, a MSD or similar
normally will yield just a few hp. Helps best on idle, loading up, etc..
