Air Flow Measurement - Formula 1

     From what I've seen the injectors aren't even mounted in the heads, 
     but above the throttle body and spray straight down into the ram tubes 
     onto the throttle blades, more along the lines of throttle body 
     injection.  Can anyone verify this, I'd imagine indy cars use a 
     similar setup.

On a related note, how do the Formula 1 guys measure air flow?  From 
pictures of their engines they don't seem to have any hot wires or 
anything.  I would guess that they are just using Throttle position, 
RPM, and air temp.
