What do I gain/lose with Meth/M85?

More fuel questions ;)...

  I can't/won't modify the ignition timing, compression ratio, or other 
engine stuff besides the EFI systems, so what can I expect to gain or 
lose using Methanol vs. gasoline?

Another Question:
  Is there any way on earth to subdue/elimante the formeldehyde from the 
exhaust?  I have control of the fuel mix, but am in danger of losing my 
sight and sense of smell!
