I saw the initial prototype of Electromotive's staged fire computer. It was
being used to run a twin-turbo 20B (Mazda 2.0 liter three rotor). They had
exactrly the problem you are describing - crappy idle with all the injectors
firing because it needed BIG injectors to get all the gas in there on boost.
It didn't seem like the programming was difficult at all with the stage fire
and the car had EXCELLENT driveability all the way to redline (which was
around 8k as I recall).
I know more about it but it'll probably take specific questions for me to
remember.
