EFI factory connector availability

I'm not on the list (yet) but have a question.

I"m adapting a factory Honda EFI system to be used in my mid-engine Mini
Cooper project.  I don't have the factory computer wire harness ($1200!) and
was told that automobile connectors are available seperately.

Being an EE I'm skeptical since these connectors look very propriatary.  

But, for that price, I would like to know if the connectors are available
(they are not from Honda.)
