Actually, I owned a 1.7L (or was it 1.6L) '78 Omni with a VW engine in it. The Chrysler overhead cam 2.5L was a big 2.2L. The AMC 2.5L pushrod is as mentioned earlier a derivative of the 4.0L, still manufactured by Chrysler at the Kenosha engine plant, used in Dakotas and Jeeps. John Bucknell
