Cam angle sensor suitable for Datsun L16/L18/L20B series engines

Is there another nissan/datsun engine such as a Z18 etc, which has a cam
angle sensor that will fit in the standard distributor position on a
Datsun L16/L18/L20 engine?

I know it may be a long shot, but I'd rather do this (if possible) than
make up my own crank/cam angle sensor.  No doubt, if one exists, being a
nissan engine it will have an optical sensor - am I correct?
