I really don't know how much code that would require.
First off you have only 4K available to you with that ecm.
8K is inside the ecm and it is a heck of a job just retrieving
it much less reprogramming it. And inside are the fuel calcs.
Because of the 6801 base the calcs are done differently than
the HC11 based. You would have to change the load from Map/rpm base
to Maf with a correction table base. In the P4s this is not hard
to do. but with that ECM difficult. There really isn't much
difference in the code from a 89 Maf to a 90 Map. However a 
ton of difference from a 85 870 ecm and the truck is similiar.

An easier approach is to use the Maf #165 ecm in 305 or 350 apps
and making the fueling changes for TBI. Not sure but I think
the change can be made from sync to async operation. Still
a heck of a lot of work.

Yep with the same tranny gears ect the TBI would haze the tires
off idle. The tpi merely spins the hides off em.

Haard to say. Some of gms stuff is pretty good. My price on
a ZR1 calpier PBR alum was about 120 can. Compared to ecklers or
other dealers thats good. For instance off self gaskets are 
cheaper than service shops like Napa. Just a matter of having
the wright parts book.(CD)
