I have not checked the solenoid construction yet but the NO2 nozzles work
well. I was going to use a high press Bosch fi type pump until it was
reported here that they corrode fast. They might be ok with a mixture
of isopropanol and water. Years ago I used a pressurized beer keg on
a turbo Corvair and pressure was supplied with boost. That worked pretty
well since there were no wastegates in those days and flow was
proportional to boost. It was pretty easy to add too much water and the
junk ignitions of 60's cound not fire mixture.
Now with fairly constant boost, I was going to use a pulse width modulated
dc supply to run the high pressure pump. This chopped voltage gives full
torque at low pump speeds and engine rpm and faster pump speed/flow as
engine rpm builds. System would consist of water resistant hi press pump,
storage tank, check valve near intake manifold, NO2 fogger nozzle into
intake and controller box for pump. If you like different boost levels,
could also make output proportional to boost.
Please feel free to comment or suggest proper pump.
