to investigate this, I took a W.W.Grainger catalog and
looked at blowers, trying to find a commercially available
unit that would deliver the desired volume (1000 cfm) at
the desired pressure (4-8 psi).  Never did find anything
capable of the static pressure, but I got the message
real quick -- takes one humonguous motor/blower to deliver
that kind of volume against 'high' static pressures
