Quite well.  Direct injection (of course... it's a Diesel).  Also, on GM
diesels at least, separate valves in head allow independent timing of
intake/exhaust events.

Not to be a pessimist, but if you can solve these problems and double a
two-stroke's power, you'll still have to figure out how to keep the
thing from melting... a big problem for all two-strokes, especially
aircooled... sounds like a fun project though.
