Bosch L-jet in the 1500 cc range?

I am searching for a reasonable donor car to pull a
Bosch L-jetronic system out for adaptation to my
US-spec Midget 1500.

  Does anyone know any cars that were in the 1500cc
range, sold in north america, and used the Bosch L-jetronic
system? Something fairly low tech mechanically would
be ideal to match VEs with my low tech British Engine
(8 valve, pushrod, oversquare, etc.)

  Ideas?
