Add Turbo to late model V8

I've been lurking on the list for a couple of months and am somewhat
overwhelmed with the dept of technical discussion that has been presented.

I'd like to get a point in the right direction and this seems like the
place to go.

I have a '95 Chevy Impala SS and I am interested in adding a turbocharger.
That's easy enough, but I need to be able to manage fuel. I can use an
FMU, but that's not very efficient and is nearly impossible to tune
properly. I'm thinking that I'd like to do this through the stock PCM, but
this is not a chip and the only programs (that I am aware of) which permit
direct PCM tuning, are designed for commercial use and run thousands of
$$$. Plus, I don't know if they can be recalibrated for use with a three
bar map sensor. So, I'm falling back on trying to design or add a setup
that uses supplementary injectors which are controlled via MAP (three bar),
RPM and hopefully MAF & O2 inputs. Based on their readings, I would
deliver a given amount of fuel by modifying injector pulse width. The
system would probably be boost activated.

I know that Carrol Supercharging and Paxton offer a similar setup, but they
want something near $1,000 for their solution.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Mark Boggs
