Hi John,
What is URL for GM website? The earlier ZZZ appears to have a different
aluminum
head (same cc) as the ZZ1-4. I have had a ZZZ offered to me, thus need
to compare
details. Wonder if these ZZZ heads (10185087) have EGR and which bolt
pattern?
I thought an '88 engine would be hyd-roller from the factory? No?? Will
you
use a throttle body on your engine? I favor that route- performance is
sufficient
for my truck and I like the simpler plumbing. Holly will sell their TB
by itself
w/o the electronics which opens up inlet manifold options. But how to
cal the
GM ECU to the Holley? Howell (FI company selling adapted GM ECUs) sells
everything
to do it, but I'm DIY *and* a cheapskate. Will call Howel today...maybe
they'll
sell chips only...my hunch is no. Steve PS I had the Qjet you mention
on my '85
CA-spec K5 Blazer. E4MD I think. It had bowl-level control, mixture
control solenoid
and a TPS. Worst of all worlds IMHO.
