O2 sensor placement

If the OEM guys are any clue pretty close.  It seems that if they are more
than 8" or so they use a heated sensor. I believe that the reason they moved
them further away (like into the IN side of the cat) is to get life long
enough to meet the fed mandated 50,000 mi service interval for emissions stuff.
