Do you absolutely need the 88 TPI filter?  Fuel filter for '83 crossfire Camaro
uses barbed hose end on inlet, 3/8" inverted flare (standard fuel line) on the
outlet.  The outlet has a 45 deg. adapter screwed in, but on the Wix or GM filters
these will unscrew.  I think that the flaring tool may cost more than it's worth,
but I can look tomorrow and see what the part no. and price are for the GM
recommended version. Also, on '88 and possibly '89 TBI pickups, GM used a braided
stainless pressure and return hose with the O rings between the engine and the
frame.
