 I can't pass this up.  Once you understand how a system works, you can
usually get the results you want.  Picture these:

"Edmund, be a dear and put the sprinkler on the dog.  I'm expecting an
important call and I don't want to miss it."

"Oh Betty, I'm losing you.  The dog's moving to dry ground."

"Well I don't know.  they put something called a step-up transformer on his
collar, whatever that is.  I just worry about that metal cable he's
dragging around.  Ground strap or not, it doesn't safe to me."

I feel I must put a disclaimer here.  I have never and will never hook any
animal in series with any part of my telephone system.  This only seems
funny because the nameless pooch, while caused some severe discomfort,
wasn't harmed.
