Idle air control hardware

Mike,
don't know about Japanese, but Mercedes V8's had a nice setup
in the 80's that you might be able to find at a junk yard.
It's an idle air valve with it's own ecu. Has inputs for
idle (you'd need to add a switch), A/C clutch signal and
engine oil temp (you'd need to use this sensor).

The problem would be to convert the twelve ignition
pulses to eight.

There was also a Mercedes 280 (6 cyl) but I don't know
if they had the same idle control system. If they did,
and you have the Marelli twin coil ignition, it should
work if you use the ecu from the 280 and the valve from
the Mercedes 500.

Another, maybe better source might be an L-jet 6 cyl BMW
like the 528.
