Subject: Spark question

Remember a few months back. There was talk about v-6 distirb having to
>send pulse to ecm, so the injectors would be pulsed. The distrib would
>still generate high voltage, but would not generate signal. How would you
>check for that signal?

4 wires going to dist, black/red is ground, brown/black, set timing.
So there's white, and the purple/white. One is to switch the timing
correction over to the ecm, and the other is the pulsed "fire" signal
to the ecm. Using an oscilloscope would be nice, but second choise
is a LED, with a 1K ohm resistor inline. Just remember the LED
is polarity sensitive. It should flicker cranking,
Cheers
