Some disclaimers:

I have never actually seen a non-computer module - only pictures. I
would have to actually compare one to the seven-pin module that I have
screwed to my fenderwell. It looks like it'll physically fit, though.

I would hope (assume?) that the relucter in the old HEI distributer will
trigger the seven-pin module. I can't imagine that not being the case,
but the auto companies do lots of things that I can't imagine doing.

As an initial test, I would acquire a seven-pin module (I got mine from a
junked distributer that was given to me by a friend) and mount it in the
distributer. There is a diagram of the seven-pin module on the EFI site.
If you leave the three pins that connect to the computer open, the
module will bypass the computer connections and work just like the older
module.

If you grab an old computer-type HEI distributer from a junkyard, you can
scam the connecter as well as the module. If you want, you can hook it
up and leave it dangling and waiting for the computer.

By the way, the only difficulty that I have is that I can't get the
Motorcraft Duraspark relucter to fire the EFI module. I have a couple
other tricks to try and tests to run, but I haven't gotten to it yet.
