Hi all. I'm trying to use the new ( 1227747.ecu ) ecu file posted on the EFI
ftp area.
When I use this .ecu, Promedit goes into a screen loop that won't stop. The
bin is a asbx.bin that't included with Promedit.

MAP 7ROW 0, COLUMNS1 0 ITEM SIZE 2000 L 18003 AT 202068b
                                                                   ^^^^^
^^^^^^ ^^^^^^^^

< the numbers with a ^^^^ count upwards>

Promedit works just fine with the 7747.ecu included in it's ZIP file.

A couple of possible errors I found in the 1227747.ecu file.

There aren't any carrage returns in the 1227747 file, the 7747 file has them.

Somewhere near the bottom, there is a ) instead of a }.

The first line says {1000, 0, 4, fff, 60}.
1000 should be the file size in hex, the setup text says 16K = 4000 when I
convert 16,000 to hex I get 3E80. 1000 hex converted to decimal = 4096, file
size is 4384. 7747.ecu also uses 1000, it's file size is 2025.

0 should be checksum address. (This is the same as the 7747.ecu)

4 should be the checksum size. ( This is 2 on the 7747.ecu)

fff dosn't exist in the 7747.ecu

60 should be the # of tables in the .ecu file. This is correct.

In this order I have:

Changed the ) to a } that was near the end of the file

Added carrage returns ( useing a plain text editor, "Note Pad" from windows)

Removed the fff, on the first line

Changed the 4 to a 2.

Now my first line reads: (1000, 0, 2, 60)

Any ideas?
My next project is a friends ~90 AWD Astrovan with a 4.3 VIN X

Thanks
Harold
