If you are interested in TPI's for the stock small block and are not concerned
about upper rpm performance, the stock 5.7 system should work just great. Yes
the runners are long, 17.5 inches from the valve seat to the plenum opening.
TPIS manufactures a mini ram manifold that has a runner length of the manifold
of only 3.5 inches. It also has larger runners for more air. There are alot
more things to consider when changing over to EFI so go to your local
bookstore and ask for Motorbooks International Powerpro series Fuel Injection
Installation, performance tuning, modifications for about 20 bucks. Call Myron
at TPIS and ask for his insiders hints book, he shows you how to get free
horsepower from GM's TPI system. Good Luck on your Project.
