v8 miata

There's a fellow who shows up frequently at Detroit area SCCA and 
Michigan Sports Car Club autocross events in a blue Miata with a 
small Buick V8 in it.  Supposedly the engine would fit with the bay
as-is but he cut at the firewall to move engine back and keep some 
semblance of weight balance. He doesn't run the car, as it's the tow 
vehicle for his VW-powered Lotus Seven-ish home built!  ;-)

I can't think of his name off-hand but a little web searching off 
the home pages of those clubs might do the trick.  Anyway, Yes, 
someone has pulled this off themselves.
