There is an arrangement used on liquid overfeed refrigeration systems which
is called a "pumper drum"---basically two high pressure drums. Bleed the hp
gas out of one, and fill it from a low pressure liquid source, while using
the other drum to supply liquid to the system at hp. Alternate drums as
needed. No reason this could not work for water injection using hp
compressed air--and lose the expensive hp water pump.
