Cabling

Is there a source for a 25 pin cable to laptop with a MAX 232 or MAX233
already built in?.  Any one know who the manufacturer is
(chip or cable)?.
On the MAX 233 a 5v source is needed so a 9v batttery and a 7805
OK?.
