Try 24502586. You mean the engine building book and not the
high perf parts book, right? Might be in there, but check
the copyright. The book I bought last year is dated 1993, I
believe. It's at the shop, so I'll look tomorrow.

Nope, the GM Performance Parts book.
I screwed up the name in the last post.
Yep, it IS the "hot cam". Hyd. roller, 218/228 @ .050,
525 lift on both ( w/1.6 rocker), 112 centerline.
Interesting note at the bottom of the page (41).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~ start quote ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The LT4 cam P/N 24502586 was designed to be used in a number of
different engines. Therefore, the following change may need to be made
for correct assembly of engine:
For LT1 and L98 engines 1995 and before, the dowel pin in the end of the
camshaft must be pushed in so extension from end of cam is .30 +/-.01",
the same as the production part.
For 1996 Lt1 & LT4 engines, the dowel pin is in the correct position,
extending .620" from the end of the camshaft. This camshaft has a
fuel pump lobe.
HTH,
BTW, you can get the Performance Parts catalog online,
in acrobat format. Go to a search engine, and search for
"GM Performance Parts". I have the low-tech paper version.
