Basic Stamps are neat little device for projects. However, they are a
to slow for ignition or efi control. I have seen them used in robots
and other small controller projects. They also are great learning
tools for what microprocessor can do without the hassle of learning
assembly and burning eproms, etc. The base processor is PIC and
actually fast, just the basic interpreter slows it down. You can
     extend it with assembly functions.

Several companies make variations of these -- parallex being the best
     known.

I went to www.parallax.com, and they talk about a video
graphics package, and something about engineers being
able to review designs........Went way over my head,

Bruce If your theater gives you the popcorn/hat
discount, BESURE to lean way forward
when you put the hat on, and then stand up
straight, to keep your popcorn warm til ya get
to your seat. Besure to lean way forward when
you take the hat off, the above is for any
            newbies.....
