Fuel injection for M/C

I am looking for some input on building a injection system for a water
cooled V-twin Yamaha. I would like to use off the shelf parts and build my
own control module. I have thought of using the stock carbs as throtle
bodies and retrofit an injector for midrange and WOT and keeping float bowl
for idle and accelerator pump circuit.

If anyone on the list knows of an article on the web or in print please
advise.
