TYPE I / TYPE II DIS C3I MODULE WIRING

The modules are not direct swaps.  With schematics and some minor
harness modifications, you may be able to get them to work.  You might
need to change to a different plug in, they are "keyed" to fit the
appropriate modules.

I have seen quite a few type I coils fail (hard start cold, about 30 deg
and below).  Insufficinet avaliable voltage.  Another guess as to why GM
changed:  replacing individual coils is cheaper then replacing all
three.

Off the subject,  GM 3.8 vin 3's have a nylon cam gear.  Around 100,000
miles (especialy in climates that vary in temperature causing the nylon
to expand and contract) they spit the teeth and smash the valves. 
Replacement gears are steel.  If you are near the milage and havent donr
the gears and chain, you might want to think about it.  3.8 vin C (3800)
has a steel cam gear factory.
