Piezo Electric accelerometer??

Gm used various types.

Some are piezo mikes 85 to 90 or so
Later are carbon mikes like phone mike 91 to 94
earlier ones were magnetic coils

Just make sure you match the knock sensor to your ecm

the 730 takes the carbon mike

the ecms with external knock det filter use the piezo
