Dwell and HEI's

Bruce, after the first two I changed the coil, stock Standard motor 
parts brand.  Both drew 18 amps primary when connected to battery 
(only for a second or two)  and yes I did have a plug wire on it to 
ground. (left the cone shaped hat off that day).
