Been plugging away at efi_555 ... Starting to think this may 
actually work!

Per the 555 thread - The 7805 constant-current source appeals 
to my minimalist soul. Cool idea. Anyone thought about using 
an OTA, say a LM13700? Just thought I'd throw it out there.
