Hi Jason

BKCZ Memcal is from a VR V6 Auto PCM
3.8 Buick type V6 & 4 speed electric auto
Memcal ID is 508 and was a production update from engine number L665799

A quick snip :

Delco computers can be classified as follows: 

ECM: Engine Control Module 
PCM: Powertrain Control Module (engine and transmission) 
TCM: Transmission Control Module (used on US diesel trucks) 

The following computers have been used locally: 
  

     1227277 - 1.8 TBI Camira open loop. Unsuitable for real-time
development. However, will run KalMaker programs. 

     1227808 - early model ECM (2.0 Camira, Astra VN-VP Commodore). This
ECM does not have high speed communications and is
     unsuitable for real-time development, without the addition of the
RT2.00.  However programs developed with the later hardware may be
     used in these ECMs. These early computers have had the serial data
chip omitted, but are otherwise equivalent to the later ECM. 
     16183082 - late model ECM (VR manual, VS V8 manual) is the same as
1227808, but has high speed serial communications; this ECM
     is a plug in service replacement for 1227808. 
     16206305 - functionally the same as 16183082 
     16176424 - PCM (VR Auto, VS V8 Auto) 
     16195699 - PCM UN9 - 16176424 with zinc plated plug surround for
RFI suppression. Note plugs are keyed differently to 16176424,
     otherwise PCM is identical. 

By far the most commonly available ECMs are the 1227808 (used in VN-VP
Commodore, also 2.0 Camira and LD Astra). 
  
The 1227808 does not have high speed, bi-directional serial data
capability, unless the RT2.00 is installed. It is functionally the same
computer
as the later 16183082, but it is missing a UART (serial chip). It can
only transmit low speed data via the check engine light circuit. This
does not
imply that it is in any way slower than later ECMs. When the RT2.00 is
installed, it is functionally the same as the 16183082, but is much
cheaper and easily obtainable. 

Note that the same ECM can be used on 4, 6 or 8 cylinder engines. The
differences are contained within the memcal.
