735i DME on BMW 325.

I'm about to buy a BMW 325i -93
but it has an broken DME box. The sales
gay says that he will replace it with a 
one from a 735i.Will that fit? Also is it
a good thing to buy a car that has had a
broken DME? Please respond to this address
