Michael, I don't think that's going to stop it.... 

The list is run by an automated mailer (remember when you subscribed?),
and there's a protocol to get off the list, just as there is to get on.

I haven't done it in a long while, but try sending an email to:

majordomo at efi332.eng.ohio-state.edu

with nothing but the following in the body of the message:

unsubscribe diy_efi


See if that does it for you.
