I'm half way through doing this on my car as the FI computer I have
has no support for cold start. I have added an idle air by pass
solenoid that opens when the engine is cold (using a temp sender
and comparator circuit). At the moment I tweak the Master mixture
pot to richen things up a bit at start up but I have thought of using a
cold start injector for this job. You could probably even use the CS
injector as an " accelerator pump" controlled by TPS once the
engine is warm. When the engine is cold the cold start circuit has
control of the CS injector once the engine is warm control of the
CS injector switches to the TPS "accelerator pump".

Just my .02 cents ..... not that you'd get much for it with the
exchange rate at the moment =-)

Cheers
