Quite right. Thanks for the jog - I've never actually designed 
anything using tubes. Built some ham gear out of the ARRL Handbook
in the late '50's, and did tv & audio repair a bit later. Fun stuff.
2D21 is a thyratron, right? 
Anyway, I am vaguely aware that Bendix pioneered EFI - Did'nt realize 
it was vacuum tube technology. I'm going to poke around a bit for
details. If you could point at any pertinent links I'd be interested.
