Lately the v-8 astrovan craze has hit here (3 in 3 miles from CSH, HQ).
Anyway the v-6 cal ain't too good. So what I've been doing is
burning a v-8 one and have the owner test drive both. Then take
the good parts of each and patch them together. I almost always
drop the TPS PE enables, and then undo the fuel lean outs at PE
that usually start about 4.000 rpm.
Then start adding a little timing, and eyeball some of the stuff.
Wish I had words for it, but after ya do a couple hundred 747
proms it gets easier.
But the point is to take two different but related chips, and drive
them then use the best of each. Trying to start will one intially
will work, but can be time consuming. Now don't try a big block
calibration on a small block till ya look at things all the egr flow
is different and TPS enrichments. But if ya have a small block
that uses fuel like a big one then you have some where to start.
  Just a moment of sharing
Bruce
