I'm not trying to nitpick and this probably doesn't mean anything
anyways, but (since I'm an ME I have to add my $.02)  when the
top fuelers dump their first and second clutch through the run 
they effectively change the gear ratio.  I think it is probably
a better estimation to say that the RPM's are kept at a constant
level throughout the run.  For approximation say 8000 RPM at 3.5
seconds and you get 467 crankshaft revolutions.  That's still
pretty impressive...
