Working at Environment Canada's vehicle emissions test lab, I have seen many oil/fuel
additives and devices (magnets, rare metals, etc.) tested here that are supposed to
reduce emissions and/or improve fuel economy. Buyer beware. Don't give away your
money. Many of the claims made imply something that is not true. For example, just
because it may say in their literature it was tested at Environment Canada (or any
other test facility) does not mean the results showed any improvement, nor does the
lab endorse the product.

I am always interested when I hear about "snake oil" products, maybe some of them work
and really would benefit mankind, but I am very skeptical. Seat of the pants
impressions (placebo effect?) are not a good way to test these products. I put a lot
more faith in results that are from repeatable lab situations performed with emissions
analyzers and chassis dynamometers.

I've seen many test results. Not impressive.

Ray makes a very good point.
