Wow, got me; news to me too. My first puzzlement would be, IS there
really still some of the exhaust gas in a plasma state at that low a
pressure and temp, when it's ready to be dumped out the exhaust valve!?

I woulda thot the plasma only existed for a fairly short period while
the flame actually was burning robustly, but on plasmas, hey, whatawino?

Maybe one of our physical science guys or electrochem guys would know?
