It's EZ to check if the MAF is a restriction, just tap in a vacuume guage on
the engine side of the MAF.  The vac reading at WOT and high RPM would
indicate a restriction from that point towards atmosphere.   Next tap the
guage between the MAF and throttle body, throttle body and air filter, air
filter and duct leading to the real world.
